Nixxes Software released simultaneous patches for all three of its Spider-Man PC ports on July 8, 2026, bringing each title up to AMD FSR version 3.1.4 and adding compatibility with Machine Learning-based FSR Frame Generation under the "Redstone" banner. The updates cover Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
What Changed in Each Patch
All three games received the same headline feature: ML-based FSR "Redstone" Frame Generation. AMD FSR "Redstone" is available on Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics, and is described as a suite of ML-powered gaming technologies delivering smoother performance and sharper visuals on RDNA 4 GPUs. The patch notes confirm the hardware bar: an AMD Radeon RX 9000 series GPU and driver 25.12.1 or later is required to use the ML frame generation path.
Beyond FSR, every patch also improves DualSense Edge controller support. Remastered and Miles Morales additionally fix a UI bug where DLSS Frame Generation could become unavailable in the menu after switching to FSR Frame Generation or disabling the feature entirely. Those two titles also now correctly display FSR 4 in the in-game menu and launcher when the driver-side upgrade is active.
| Game | Patch Version | FSR Version | Redstone FG | DualSense Edge Fix |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Remastered | v4.630.0.0 | 3.1.4 | Yes (RX 9000+) | Yes |
| Miles Morales | v4.630.0.0 | 3.1.4 | Yes (RX 9000+) | Yes |
| Spider-Man 2 | v2.629.0.0 | 3.1.4 | Yes (RX 9000+) | Yes |
Why FSR 3.1.4 Matters
FSR 3.1.4 was specifically built to support upcoming AMD FSR Redstone technologies, adding required camera parameters for ML Frame Generation. The Redstone stack's FSR Upscaling component reconstructs crisp, high-quality visuals from low-resolution frames, while FSR Frame Generation predicts and inserts new frames between rendered ones to deliver smoother, higher frame rate gaming. In practical terms, RX 9000 owners can now expect the AI-driven frame interpolation to replace the older analytical method in all three games.

Nixxes Keeps the Back Catalogue Current
The PC ports were built by Insomniac Games in close partnership with Nixxes Software, Sony's dedicated PC porting studio. Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Nixxes in July 2021, and the studio has maintained an active update cadence across the Spider-Man trilogy since then. The three PC release dates span nearly three years: Remastered arrived August 12, 2022, Miles Morales on November 18, 2022, and Spider-Man 2 on January 30, 2025. All three titles are Steam Deck Verified.
The timing is notable given Sony's shift away from PC ports for future big-budget PlayStation games. Keeping existing ports patched with the latest upscaler versions signals that Nixxes intends to support the back catalogue even as new release plans change.
Picking Up Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered remains the entry point to the PC trilogy. It includes the full base game plus The City That Never Sleeps DLC. With the FSR Redstone update now live, RX 9000 owners get a material frame-rate boost at essentially zero additional cost.
