I bought this game, because everyone liked it and talked about the great gameplay, the flow and beautiful style. I really do like the artworkI bought this game, because everyone liked it and talked about the great gameplay, the flow and beautiful style. I really do like the artwork of the game, but I think the gameplay is one of worst I ever come across. You literally only use the Left Stick. For EVERYTHING. Jumping, Grinding, Flips and Manuals. It’s not precise, but very frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone, and once again I‘m mad about myself by stepping into the trap of overhyped indie games.

Overall, I like OlliOlli World. When the player learns its techniques and finds a groove, it’s a great flow-state play whose vibrant presentation elevates the experience.
If you're looking for the ultimate skateboarding experience, the OlliOlli World is definitely for you. Whether you're a casual or hardcore gamer, you can find your own fun in it.

Really fun and completely gives you the option to play as simple or as complex as you want. With the full invest based on your playstyle. It can be hard at times, but it has a trial and error with a surprising sense of creativity. The game can mess you up at times with camera struggling to keep up with your character. The story is wacky, but really goes with the Shonen anime theme of friendship and pushing past your limits, but never forgetting to have fun. The character customization is surprisingly deep, your character can be you or something more akin to the npcs. Although there is no direct matchmaking there is an online element for runs on short courses and opportunities to rank up every twenty-four hours. The soundtrack, at first I thought was a bunch of songs made for the game, but are in fact real songs by real artist, but they do fit the games style and aesthetics.
Like any good skateboarding game, OlliOlli World has a soundtrack that perfectly matches the atmosphere of the world in which it is inserted, although I personally don't like the chosen musical genre so much, I can't deny that it worked well with the cartoonish and even bizarre visuals. OlliOlli World has everything to be one of the best indie games of 2022, which combines the single-player experience with an extremely competitive multiplayer experience, with a scoring system and that you'll want to compete against your friends to see who can score the most in each stage.

Level design is excellent. The main game isn't too difficult and can be beaten in 5-8 hours depending on your skill level. However, mastering the game for 100% completion is going to take 40+ hours and many, many tries and frustrations. I was able to achieve about 70% though. Highly recommend!
OlliOlli World is a fun, very accessible game that lets you easily pull of many tricks, fly over chasms and slide on dinosaur bones as you explore an enticing wacky world. What I don’t like about Roll7’s latest creation, was its narrative side, a sudden difficulty spike by the end and the lack of a good level editor.

So if this looks interesting to you then definitely recommend!
OlliOlli World does a perfect job in bringing the coolness of skateboarding culture to the videogame format. Fair course design and a limitless scoring system make the gameplay appealing to both hardcore and casual gamers. The deep character customization is great too. OlliOlli World is just so good that even falling feels fun.

OlliOlli World is the perfect evolution of what is already a fantastic series, and it has plenty to do for both newcomers and veterans. It rides the line between hard and accessible, making it very welcoming to newcomers while still being true to the high difficulty that the series is known for. I really enjoyed my time with it and look forward to replaying the completed levels to go for high scores and completing all of the optional objectives.
Even if it still doesn’t lead to some sort of resurgence in extreme sports games, OlliOlli World can still stand as one of the most unique and fun skateboarding games of all time, one that’s perfectly suited for both novices and masters alike thanks to its intense and immaculate level design, massive variety of tricks to pull off and tons of challenges to keep players coming back for more. Top it all off with a superbly psychedelic style and setting to make things pop, and what you have is a skateboarding experience that may very well indeed be the closest to Gnarvana that you can get.
OlliOlli World is a finishing touch for the saga. In addition to having excellent gameplay, a large number of levels and good mechanics, it knows how to make it more accessible for newer players. It doesn't lose the level of challenge.
OlliOlli World delivers a fantastically fun and motivating experiencebased on skateboarding in a 2D environment, fully in line with itspredecessors. Joining an excellent level design and magnificent artworkand soundtrack, OlliOlli World pushes players to perform in a creativeand daring way through its skillfully designed levels and the result isa game that fits perfectly, whether on a television screen or on theNintendo Switch screen.
Roll7 has gone above and beyond with their third skateboarding entry, OlliOlli World. It’s bursting with content and more is on its way. This game is perfect for veterans and newcomers alike, and the character customization is next level. What are you waiting for? Drop-in and ride.
OlliOlli World offers an enjoyable easy to learn/hard to master experience. Your love-hate relationship with the game is partially spoiled by its technical flaws.

OlliOlli World continues to kick flip its way across a variety of colorful and imaginative levels. Returning fans will be pleased with this familiar experience sporting a new art style, but newcomers may be put off by eventually increasing difficulty and repetitive trial-and-error nature of the levels.

I liked the previous ones, but this one has just so much style! I love the gameplay. The checkpoints, and the freedom to chase "challenges" for each track adds a lot. The game is as easy as you want and as hard as you want it to be, assuming there are no talent-locks in the following chapters. I always try to get all challenges and have managed to do so in almost all tracks I played so far. The customization is great, the characterization really allows fun combinations. I'm not even at the second island yet but I really love this and can confidently say it is a great game. (A minor drawback is the "dialogue" with the skater gang, although it is fairly irrelevant to the overall experience.) Will update this review when I complete it. Oh, and it runs great on the Switch, no issues at all, both in handheld and docked.

It’s easy to learn, hard to master and rewards you for persistence. It also allows you to play at your own pace whether that be completing all the optional challenges or just focusing on levels. Insane level of customization for your character, cartoonish and well done art style, plus a very stable frame rate on my older pc. Highly recommend.

By the way, you can make a normal character, but, according to other characters and the game, its seems like it again LGBT.The visual here is very weak, it seems like the picture should be cool, it’s cartoony, but take a look, for example, at the "Sable" videogame, it has exactly the same graphics, but what awesome views in it and what kind of generic graphics are there, they didn’t try at all on the visual part.About the same thing with music, it is very simple here, as if from some kind of fitness center)Don’t expect any story here either, they just added a certain concept that there is a skateboarding planet and there is a skateboarding master, he / she is tired and wants to retire, now you should to become a master) Before the start of the levels you will always have dialogues with characters, they more for jokes, and even then they can only be funny or funny to children. The characters are also not memorable.Otherwise, the controls is good, the game is not difficult, the original Olli was harder for me. There are tricks, as in the original, perhaps there are fewer of them, well, I don’t know, I didn’t pass the whole game. I can also note that the game is very fast and the eyes get tired of playing it for a long time. And, Olli Olli 2: Welcome to Olliwood is still the best part for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed OlliOlli World, especially the fact that its gameplay remains instinctual yet challenging which allows anyone to have fun whether you merely want to skate or aim for the top of the leaderboards. Plus, its trippy visuals and music are spot-on.

The cartoon aesthetic the game goes for really adds to the experience and is so adorable that it helps make the game feel even more fun.Bad-Some of the characters are forgettable. The controls are not as intuitive as Roll7 may have expected. The character customization feels a bit bloated and overwhelming.Thoughts-While I have some small grievances with the game it is still an extremely fun skateboarding game and just a fun game to relax too. An easy recommend.

Art style and colours are amazing. The characters are fun and really well designed and the gameplay is sooo addictive! even when i've messed up a run i don't get mad at having to restart because the gameplay is so fun. Yes it's not the easiest game and it will take some skill to master, but you can very quickly open up new levels and new areas so nothing is trapped behind a skill cap. Also the soundtrack is incredible, Cascade records have said it should be available at some point soon and you will definitely want it after playing. This is a must buy, a rare thing these days when so many games from the past couple of years have been broken, unoriginal or just plain disappointing. OlliOlli world has everything you could want from a game, most important of which is,hours of fun with endless replayability.
It’s early days of course, but OlliOlli World ranks amongst my favourite games of the year so far. Its sleek, satisfying gameplay coupled with luscious graphics and sounds both pristine and punchy make it a must-buy for fans of the skating genre. But beyond that audience, it’s also highly recommended for anyone who loves finding a sense of flow, of rhythm, in their lives. Deep breath then, in through the nose, out through the mouth… And then drop down that ramp into the wildest, weirdest, and friendliest sports game you’ll play in 2022.
OlliOlli World embodies that positive attitude with its vibrant world and encouraging approach to its challenges. After finishing it, I immediately found myself getting pangs of nostalgia, pining to revisit Radlandia. Time to hit those side quests!
A gorgeous piece of skateboarding. The culmination of everything we've come to expect from OlliOlli with a heart-warmingly wholesome approach that reminds us anybody can board if you've got the urge.
OlliOlli World is an absurdly intricate game. Yet it is lovingly approachable. Roll7 has been working with this series for almost a decade and their efforts have bore exceptional fruit. In the path to achieve Gnarvana, players will encounter an exuberant world populated with a wild cast of characters. The series’ move to 3D has paid off. But more importantly, the complex mechanics of its tricks and combos have been polished to a luxurious sheen, rewarding players of all skill levels and degrees of dedication. I can think of few things I would change about OlliOlli World aside from more and more levels and hundreds more cosmetic options. As it stands, though, the game is bursting at the seams with finesse, eclipsing what was already a near-perfect harmony.
After waiting more than seven years for a new delivery, more than five years it was well worth it. OlliOlli World represents a huge quality acrobatic jump that lands like the gods to enchant fans of the IP and open the doors to those who are just starting out in this crazy world of skateboarding.
OlliOlli World is a BLAST to play. Roll7 did an excellent job changing up their formula while still making this feel like an OlliOlli game. While it isn’t faultless with its difficulty, OlliOlli World is welcoming for just about anyone with any skill level.
OlliOlli World is an incredible reboot and the perfect evolution of the OlliOlli franchise. It's vivid and bright levels combined with the creativity in their design make for a deep gameplay meta that will keep you coming back for years. To put it simply, Roll7 did for OlliOlli in 2022 what Sony Santa Monica did for God Of War in 2018.
OlliOlli World takes the tight, rewarding gameplay of its simple predecessors, dresses it up in a beautifully colourful and quirky new art style, and layers on a bunch of new systems that make it even more satisfying to master. It's a masterclass in how to make score attack games that can have players attack the same spot for hours at a time in search of those vital few points that would give them the lead over a rival, with dozens of awesome hand-crafted levels and countless procedural ones on which to chase those big numbers. The manual dexterity required coupled with the breakneck pace of the game can be a little scary at first, but once muscle memory starts to kick in and you find yourself going for timely tweaks and greedy grabs without even knowing you're doing it, you will have finally transcended and achieved Gnarvana. Now, just one more run...
If you enjoyed Roll7’s previous OlliOlli games, it’s safe to say that you’ll love their evolution into OlliOlli World. Even if you weren’t a fan, there’s more than enough here to entice new players. The controls are accessible and easy to get to grips with, though there’s still plenty of depth for advanced players. Combine that with beautiful visuals, a kicking soundtrack and wonderfully animated characters, and what more could you possibly want? It’s never felt better to land a truly epic trick.
OlliOlli World stumbles here and there, with a steep difficulty curve and occasional technical hitches, but fans of skateboarding games will find plenty of combo-stringing complexity to enjoy.
A (lot) more content on the multiplayer side would have been welcome, but as it is, Olli Olli World is enjoyable and will please anyone enjoying Scoring, and Scoring higher, and higher. Also, fancy art to boot.
OlliOlli World is pure fun. It is well structured and offers both experienced and new players multiple ways to enjoy the game to their liking. Great music, a wonderful artstyle and a motivating leaderboard system make Olli Olli World an incredibly enjoyable experience, regardless *of* experience.
At the heart of all this, though, OlliOlli World is classic OlliOlli. It’s part combo-centric skating game, part momentum-driven platformer, part arcade-style score chaser that rewards mastery and experimentation. All these pieces come together wonderfully, and those moments when you’re grinding along a tree branch or the spine of some monstrous skeleton in the desert, clinging to your perfect combo and praying you nail the landing, are pure adrenaline. New tricks, new gimmicks, and an intriguing new setting add a lot to an already strong core, and there’s more room for expression and a lower skill floor, but OlliOlli World is still the absolute rush OlliOlli has always been.
As a veteran player of these games and real life skateboarder it’s easy to appreciate what these games do. While they seem like simplified Tony Hawk games, there’s a lot more depth in the grinds and flips with a surprising amount of accuracy. That being said, OlliOlli World improves on the blueprint laid out in previous entries in almost every way. The animation is impressively overhauled, the level design is intricate while evolving, and the gameplay is as smooth as butter with even more ways to flow. There’s something to be said about iterative evolution but this is on another level of progression that makes the older games harder to go back to. Trust me, I tried and it was a grind.
From the perspective of someone who always respected but couldn’t penetrate the series, OlliOlli World feels just perfect. I was engrossed for long periods of time and absolutely ate through the title. I’m ready to move on, rather than push for completion, but I think that’s part of the beauty. There’s something for everyone, whether or not you’ve got a competitive edge or just want to reach for Gnarvana.
OlliOlli World is one of the finest skateboarding games around. The gameplay is fun, intuitive and simple enough for newcomers to enjoy while having complex layers that will have skate veterans everywhere grinding to master.
OlliOlli World manages to stay true to its predecessors whilst making verts feel fresh. The multi-faceted levels are an absolute joy, adding experimentation and exploration to the solid foundation. With enough depth to please veterans, yet simple enough to attract newcomers, Roll7 has nailed the mechanics, making the trip to Radlandia essential.
Even when I was beating my head against a wall on a certain level, I was still having a fun time with OlliOlli World. The simple controls kept me engaged, the progression was as difficult as I wanted it to be, and the style really sold the entire experience, I think fans of the Trials or Joe Danger games should really give this one a shot and fans of skating games can have a lot of fun here as well.
OlliOlli World takes Roll7's refined 2D skateboarding concept to cosmic heights. Tight and challenging gameplay, a high skill ceiling, dozens of hours of content, and a remarkably stylish sense of presentation combine to make this a release you absolutely don’t want to miss. It's an easy recommendation to pretty much any Switch owner, especially those who are easily roped in by score-chasing releases or super hard platforming, OlliOlli World is a shining example of the distinct kind of innovation and quality that can come from inspired indie game studios.
