Sonic Origins Análises e Classificações
A conflicting compilation of Sonic games that does plenty right in remastering some of the blue hedgehog's classic Mega Drive hits, but lets everyone down with unnecessary money-grabbing DLC, while not offering anywhere near the amount of content that really should be here in terms of the Sonic series' vast history. Still with bugs to fix, time will tell if Sonic Origins becomes a respectable overall package, but it will suffice for the more casual fan after a bigger price drop.
Sonic Origins is a compilation that allows us to recall the origins of the blue hedgehog with interesting new content. However, nostalgia may not be enough to convince some players. Even so, it is still a highly recommended title.
Sonic Origins is that collection of classic games that seemed like you didn't need, but it manages to be necessary for fans of the blue hedgehog. It is the best version of these games that are classics and it is very good that they are still being played. It's not a perfect game: it has problems, and it lacks games. Perhaps one of the most striking flaws is that Sonic 3 does not include its original soundtrack.
The games in Sonic Origins are among the best Sonic the Hedgehog titles in existence and this package is a great way to experience these games, especially for new fans who were introduced to the franchise by the Sonic the Hedgehog movies.

While it does have a decent amount of extras, it's not enough to detract from the games themselves being near identical to every other version out there. The biggest downgrade is the removal of Micheal Jackson's music. While there has been a lot of conflict around the King of Pop's involvement with Sonic 3, it's still a shame that arguably some of the best Sonic songs had to be removed. Sonic Origins isn't awful, but it's pretty disappointing.
Although it is a nice homage to the first adventures of the hedgehog, Sonic Origins could have deserved a better finish. Overall, this compilation is correct, but the options offered are not enough to make up for certain shortcomings. Despite a really successful dressing with its cartoons and colorful interface, SEGA's game constantly oscillates between good and bad. We're having a good time, but for Sonic's 30th anniversary, we were right to expect more games and surprises. Especially at a price of forty euros.
Excellent. Must have collection for any fan of the blue blur or those who want to get started. People reviewing bombing this game are salty af
In all Sonic Origins is a good way to experience the original four Sonic the Hedgehog outings, but it isn't without its issues, namely the locked content and the occasional glitch. This reviewer recommends Origins to anyone that’s a fan of classic platformers, or is a fan of collections that include never before seen art of the Blue Blur and his friends and foes from the Genesis/CD era!
Fully remastered with a lot of extras, SEGA have achieved their goal of making Sonic Origins the best way to play the classics going forward.
Sonic Origins is a great example of packing classic games together and improving them for a modern audience. The added mission modes are the stand out, but the games themselves still play just as good as ever, especially with the new Anniversary mode. Pre-order lock out nonsense aside, this is a fantastic way to experience the classics.
Sonic Origins looks and sounds great, but doesn’t add extra perks like the ability to rewind or save states that would help lower the difficulty. The ability to play as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles in each of the games is a nice touch.
Overpriced DLC and the odd omission aside, the fact is that the five games in this collection are stone-cold classics, and they’ve never played better. Those without nostalgia may understandably wait for a sale and a further bit of polish. But Sonic Origins will be a great trip down memory lane if you were a Genesis supporter back in the day of the 16-bit schoolyard debates. They are infinitely replayable.
Messy as it is, Sonic Origins is still a collection of the best 2D entries the franchise has to offer. It may not be as dense in content in comparison to prior compilations like Sonic Mega Collection or Sonic Gems Collection, but it does just enough to not get in the way of what made these games system sellers in their heyday. While I was hoping for an easy touchdown, this ended up being a fumble recovery instead. Hefty price tag be damned, new players deserve to see why people like me keep going back to what many consider the reason people loved Sonic in the first place.
On one hand there are 4 great games in Sonic Origins, all are well cherished by Sonic fans, and are games that are considered some of the best in the Sonic franchise. Players might not even notice some of the glitches if they have never played Sonic, some long-time veterans might not even encounter them, but then on the other hand, these games, which have been out on the market for 25 years or more, cost a premium price with so many bugs and glitches present. Anniversary mode, Story mode and Mission mode will certainly be a refreshing change of pace for those that have completed these games dozens of times and it's fun while it lasts, but the package falls short by not including more than previous collections.
There is so much more to see, view, hear and just feel entertained. I did come across a few issues of it shutting down on me, messing up my game. Not starting up, had to unplug my console each time to get it to actually start up correctly. It’s a bit buggy sometimes with the movements and I wanted it to be perfect, but these issues take more time to just get to play the game. However, that is the only issue I faced, the rest is about as great as I could wish it to be!
Sonic Origins on Nintendo Switch should've been an easy collection to recommend to anyone looking to play classic Sonic games in the best possible way, but it is held back by some optimization issues on Nintendo Switch and a lack of polish in some areas. It has a lot of care put into the overall package with some lovely extras, but it definitely needed a bit more time. Hopefully it gets a few patches to bring it to the state it deserves to be in for a potential physical release.
Sonic Origins offers the best way to experience these classics on PC through Retro Engine ports including a new one for Sonic 3 & Knuckles with bonus museum content and cut-scenes, but Sega needs to fix the filtering issue that makes this look blurry and also address some of the bugs that hold this back from being as good as it should be. Having recently been verified on Steam Deck by Valve, Sonic Origins is also excellent on Valve's new handheld system where I played it for review alongside the Switch version.
Sonic Origins, as its name suggests, brings the Sonic franchise back to its good old days when we had no other concern in the whole world but to fire up our console and have some platformer fun.
Very few changes were made from their now non-existent previous releases, so it’s high time Sega dusts off some more titles from its ‘90s library. The gorgeous cartoons in Origins give me hope, as Sega seems to be establishing some kind of Classic Sonic universe completely isolated from his modern counterpart. It’s just a shame that it’s a universe consisting of four games once again.
Sonic's beloved, 2D adventures return with a fresh coat of HD paint. However, this otherwise enjoyable collection of Genesis-era games is marred by a few technical issues.

Sonic Origins does an excellent job with its presentation, bonus content, and modernizations of classic games. On the other hand, I wish more games were included even if they didn't get the royal treatment that the 4 titles here did.
Given the enduring popularity of Sonic over the years – even with a couple of missteps along the way – it seems like there are plenty of people who will value getting a chance to play these games with fresh eyes and from a different perspective. If you’re one of those people, then Sonic Origins absolutely makes it worthwhile to revisit these classics.
Sonic is the hero of my childhood! I grew up with 2D platformers and my Mega Drive with games is now well protected in a glass cabinet in the living room. Accordingly, I approached Sonic Origins with hope. Sega would have had the chance to interest younger players and offer old fans a little added value. But they missed it cleanly. For new players, 40 euros for four old games will be too much. At the same time, the collection offers almost nothing new for fans. Sure, the scans of the old manuals and developer sketches are nice, but they are nothing more than some fluff on top. The versions of the games work good on Xbox Series and still play fantastically, but they are only warmed up and nothing here is original from the Mega Drive. This is simply unworthy of these classics of gaming history.

But as a "remaster" compilation, it's disappointing. Graphic quality improvements are negligible. But that's not a huge deal. What is a big deal is that the frame rate for the character animations are exactly the same. It's most noticible in their running start animations and when they go through loops. Compare it to Sonic Mania where everything moves buttery smooth. All the original music is great, but everything they replaced or changes sounds absolutely generic and awful. The music for turning into Super Sonic is a horrible polka song. The music replacing the Ice Cap zone doesn't even sound right.Basically if you loved the originals this might be worth your money, but objectively speaking, it's not at all worth the price point and deserves a host of criticism for negligible improvements in some areas and even stepping backwards in others.

A bit lazy from the devs if you ask me but it's not a big deal. The whole Michael Jackson drama with stage 4-5-6 from Sonic 3 where the songs had to be rewritten is so disappointing. I know they used the beta version of the tunes but really? Couldn't they have used like a remix or do any better than the picked replacement tracks? They sound super generic unlike the rest of the tracks (stage 1-2-3 and S&K)...Overall, pretty decent HD package. Does leave a little to be desired but I'm really enjoying it.

If you can make peace with a few missing options and don't mind the paid DLC aspect you'll still have a great time here, and if you're coming to these games fresh you're in for an almighty treat, it's just a shame that SEGA has chosen to sully the endeavour with unnecessary greed and a few glaring functional omissions that could so easily have been included. So there you have it, Sonic Origins has got it where it counts but a little more TLC would have seen our score bumped up by a few points. Maybe next time, SEGA.

Great quality of life improvements and great bonus content. The games itself? They're great, definitely worth a couple of playthroughs. There are a couple glitches here and there, but I haven't noticed anything game breaking.Be careful though with Wacky Workbench (Sonic CD), it has flashing lights that are very blinding. Something the game doesn't tell you.
I'm giving this score a 9/10. it could've been a 10/10 if Sega listened to their fans. the reason why I'm giving this a near perfect score is because it's a definitive way to play sonic even know people wanted to play classic sonic on modern platforms for a long time with widescreen support and I'm glad they did. they did not screw this game with bugs and glitches and left us in the dark with no communication. it's a great way to play this game you got 4 classic iconic games from the 90s including sonic 3 and knuckles and it changed perfectional not because of the music replacing but additional sound effects that'll make the game better. this was the best remastered of all time and it's even close to sonic mania.

The letterbox backgrounds locked behind DLCThoughts-Sonic Origins is truly a celebration of Sega’s beloved hedgehog. The future of the franchise remains typically unclear – based on what we’ve seen of Sonic Frontiers so far, it could honestly go either way – but Sonic Origins reminds us that nothing will ever be able to diminish its past. When Sonic was good, it was better than almost anything else out there, and this collection celebrates those glory days in the best way possible.
Sonic Origins works magic with Anniversary Mode, allowing you to play four classic Sonic games in widescreen. However, the speed bumps, ranging from features moved to DLC and a lack of great content, bring the fun to a crawl.

As a big 2D Sonic fan, I am thoroughly impressed by the amount of love ambition put into this remastered collection. The game is flawed for sure, but I am able to ignore most of them. This is definitive way to play these legendary games. Everything about it just looks stunning. I would recommend this game to anyone how hasn't played any of the Classic Sonic games. I think they will all have great experiences. Lovely game yet again, by Sonic Team!
Sonic Origins is a raw deal, providing little content with questionable edits. The widescreen support, drop dash, and Mission Mode are welcome additions, but they all come at a (steep) price.

The new features/additions of boss rush, mission modes, anniversary mode and the additional playable characters and museum all make it worth buying in my opinion even though I already own the original 4 games on their original consoles. My one and only disappointment is the reduced screen size if you want to play the classic versions but it's not even a big deal and just takes a bit of getting used to. A 100% superior re release of old Sonic games over Sonic Colors Ultimate, for sure.

To great music that will keep you jamming out throughout the zones. Sonic Origins has it all!
These games look great and play better than they ever have in HD. But what else do you get? As far as extras, not a ton. You do get a small museum mode, a boss rush, and some bonus missions. But compared to, say, the 3D explorable world with its multiple media museums from Sonic Jam, it’s a bit bare. But, hey, I’m not really here for bonuses. I’m here for those four games. And a few oddities aside, these are fantastic remasters. Even if you’re a Sonic fan who already owns these games in other compilations, Origins is worth it.
Sonic Origins is a must-have collection for fans old and new of the lightning-fast SEGA icon. The collection is designed to pay homage to and celebrate the beloved blue hedgehog, as well as to readjust the visual presentation without sacrificing the exquisitely vintage taste of the classic. The work of revising the original format in 16: 9 is nothing short of commendable, while the content offer - which offers different and intriguing replayability solutions - seemed abundant and adequate to the list price. The only blemish on the operation in our opinion is the decision to package some additional content in the form of paid DLC. A very questionable distribution choice which, however, given the cost at which it is proposed, we feel we can partly justify.
I know a lot of my problems with Sonic Origins sound like nitpicks, but I adore these games and I want to see them restored and presented with joy and reverence as the masterpieces they are--not tainted with frivolous DLC that should be unlockables and lackluster presentation. Sonic Origins comes close to being the definitive classic Sonic experience, but stumbles just before the finish line.
Sonic Origins is an essential collection not only for any franchise fan with current or last-gen gaming hardware but also for anybody who appreciates tight gameplay with a banger soundtrack. Sonic is the ultimate "Animal With an Attitude" mascot still having major games released to this day, and while the franchise has had a tarnished reputation due to sub-par releases lately, it remains plucky and pushes forward, never losing sight of its roots.
Sonic Origins is a fantastic celebration of 30 years of SEGA's spiky blue mascot, offering four of the best platformers money can buy and chucking in a bunch of great extras that long-time fans can appreciate. Regardless of where the Blue Blur head next, Sonic Origins is a reminder of just how damn good these timeless classics are.
Sonic Origins is not only an excellent trip down memory lane for fans of the series, it’s also the perfect entry point for those looking to play them for the very first time. The games are all as beautiful as ever and control like a dream. There are also a plethora of bonus goodies that celebrate the iconic artwork and music of the platforming series. While it’s easy to get caught up in arguments about the current direction of the Sonic IP, Sonic Origins is a refreshing reminder that the original games are among the best 2D platformers ever made.
As much as there are some modifications that might make the game more appealing to newer players, Sonic Origins is undoubtedly something designed for long-time fans, especially those who just want to have access to the classic games on the current platforms, without much concern for changes. If you, like me, can't even remember a time in your life when Sonic didn't exist, the collection can be a nice, if somewhat a simple, gift. For the rest of us, it might not seem interesting at all.
Considering that past Sonic collections offered more games for less money, it’s hard to say that this one is worth it. Ultimately, Sonic Origins is a well-polished wrapper for old games that were, until recently, available at much lower prices. Unless one is a real super fan, this is a collection that’s better-grabbed on sale.
